"little-known in the field of art brut ("outsider art"). The Collection de l'Art Brut in Lausanne holds important and highly diverse examples of his work.

The exhibition is co-produced by the three institutions that will take turns to host it. They are la maison rouge in Paris (July to September 2016), the Collection de l'Art Brut in Lausanne (November 2016 to February 2017), and the American Folk Art Museum in New York (March to August 2017).

A publication in French and English will present recent studies of this rich body of work, accompanied by numerous illustrations."

PROGRAM:

Friday, 15th:
5:00 – 5:30 pm: A walk with Antirrhinum majus
7:00 – 8:00 pm: SAGG DEMONSTRATION, a performance by Sofia Ginevra Gianni on the rise of subcultural movements in contemporary Napoli. Piazzetta Rosario di Palazzo, Quartieri Spagnoli.
Saturday, 16th:
5:00 – 6:30 pm: Richard Wentworth will disclose his site specific artwork and give two parallel talks, one visual, one vocal, about the politics of Baroque from a visitor’s point of view.
8:00 – 11:00 pm: Subject and viewer moving independently, a screening of experimental film and video works from 1967-1987, selected by Martin Ebner, at San Giuseppe delle Scalze.
Sunday, 17th:
8:00 pm: As the bells ring the exhibition will close its doors.

"In 1909 Futurism was born in Naples. In 2016 the false promise of a mandatory future defied itself. The city turns in on itself. The new begins in observations of the old. It only requires time.

A group show proposed by Constantin Thun including works by Adelhyd van Bender, André Cadere, I.N. Cape, Rob Chavasse, Leidy Churchman, Cosimo Fanzago, Heike-Karin Föll, Sofia Ginevra Gianni, Jack Goldstein, Delia Gonzalez, Isabel Lewis, Maria Loboda, Matmos, Shahryar Nashat, Walter Pichler, Augustas Serapinas, Hannah Weinberger, Richard Wentworth, Holger Wüst and Cerith Wyn Evans

The week is accompanied by screenings selected by Martin Ebner, a guided tour of Sanità’s architecture by Fabrizio Ballabio, readings of Sandro Penna’s short stories, and a portable library by Beck Books."
